Crescendo - 2024
About Crescendo
Crescendo is a game all about music, with multiple field elements like the speaker, amp, and stage. The goal is to score as many notes as you can into the speaker and amplifier. If enough notes are scored in the amp, any notes scored in the speaker will have amplified points. For endgame, your robot can either park within the stage's bounds or hang on the chain to get points for being on stage. In addition, you can score additional points if your robot can successfully put a note in the trap, and if your human player manages to toss a high note onto the microphone that resides on top of the stage. All in all, it was a challenging game, especially strategy wise. Our team had to decide what elements we wanted to score, and what elements we decided not to add to our robots. All in all it's been an amazing season, we've had many ups and downs and so many learning experiences. We hope to carry this knowledge forward onto future generations!
