Join the Energy HEROs!

Requirements

  • ​Must maintain a least a 70 grade average in all classes. Your education comes first!

  • Dues must be paid

  • 50 hours of work (showing up to meetings, participating, and completing assigned tasks)

  • 6 hours of volunteer work per semester (we have plenty of opportunities!)

  • Gracious professionalism 

Cost 

To be able to go to competition, you must pay the team due of $125. Fees can be reduced or waived if you are on a free and reduced lunch plan. Payment plans are also available. The $125 pays for your team shirts, room, transportation, food, and other expenses during competitions.

Time Involve

In the first semester, meetings are held every Monday and Thursday from 3:05pm-5:15pm. During build season/the second semester, meetings are be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:05pm-6:00pm, and every Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm.

The team competes in at least two competitions, along with two more if qualified to compete in the State and World Championships. Competitions are typically in March and April, and last 2-3 days. At least one competition is held "away" in another city and involves an overnight stay. Team members receive excused absences for participating in competitions, but must make up missed school work and maintain their grade average.
